The Journey
Together, we are on a journey of discovery, seeking to build bridges that will bring people and communities closer together. A journey to bring together people from all walks of life who have a heart for the land and the people of Israel, creating partnerships and advancing common goals to deliver help and assistance and meet the needs of people and communities in Israel and in the United States.
It is our hope, that through our work, real, long lasting and beneficial connections and relationships will be formed between communities in Israel and the US and between our team members and the Israelis they meet.
From small acorns – mighty oak trees grow.
P3 Israel started out as a dream in 2018 in Arlington Texas.
So far we have sent three teams to Israel to work on Kibbutz Bet HaEmek in the Galil. In May and June 2020 two teams were ready to travel to the English Hospital in Nazareth and two organizations for people with disabilities – House of Wheels for people with severe physical handicaps and Kivunim (New Directions for Special Needs Youth in Israel) for young people with physical disabilities, sensory disabilities and chronic illness associated disorders and more. Unfortunately, as we all know, the Corona virus pandemic forced us to change our plans and our lives.
However, our spirit remains strong and we are already making plans to bring three groups in October 2020 – to the English Hospital, a joint team to Kivunim and House of Wheels and another team to Bet HaEmek – where it all started.
Previous teams, apart from working with the community, also took part in the “Good Spirits Marathon” (Mateh Asher Regional Council) to promote awareness for people with special needs and a special workshop that introduced them to the challenges facing those who are wheelchair bound.
